Description Edit

The banana pepper is a member of the chili pepper family. They are popular garden-variety peppers. Banana peppers change in color from pale to deep yellow to orange as they mature.

Buying Edit

Trying to figure out when to buy banana peppers? Banana peppers are mature when they reach approx. 4-6 inches, resemble a banana in shape and are pale yellow/yellow green in color, they become a mix of yellow and red. Should feel slightly firm when ripe (but not too firm!). If it's squishy and flimsy, it's probably over-ripe.
