Pine nuts grow in the cones of pine trees. That should be obvious shouldn't it.

Some people think pine nuts taste fabulous but they're also fabulously expensive. Harvesting pine nuts takes a great deal of work [1] so unless scientists come up with robots to do the work pine nuts will stay expensive. If you can afford pine nuts they can help make a vegetarian diet more pleasant and interesting. They're certainly expensive enough to impress visitors.

Pine nuts contain a great deal of different types of fat [2] but at least one source says the fat in pine nuts is good. [3]
